Shipt aspires to a future where fresh, nutritious food is accessible regardless of zip code, and we are proud to invest in community-led partners and projects that are planting the seeds for more vibrant communities. Starting May 11 and running through June 12, Shipt is accepting applications for our 2026 Community Impact Grants to support local organizations fighting food insecurity. 

With nearly 1 in 7 households across the country experiencing food insecurity, the need for reliable, fresh food access is crucial. This is why Shipt focuses on supporting multifaceted, holistic solutions – like Community Impact Grants, Garden Grants, and our LadderUp accelerator – that help strengthen community connections and bridge the hunger gap. 

This year’s grant program will focus on three impact areas: 

• Mobile Markets: Bridging the food access gap by bringing the store directly to the community, serving as a consistent anchor for neighbors in need.

• Teaching Farms: Connecting communities to hands-on education that helps them learn exactly where fresh food comes from and empowers them to grow it themselves.

• Food Hubs: Strengthening local food economies by providing the essential infrastructure that connects small-scale farmers to new local market opportunities. 

Our grant tiers are designed to help community nonprofits pilot, scale, and innovate their food access programming:

• Seed (up to $10k) for new initiatives in the early phases, looking to gain the essential capital needed to move from concept to reality.

• Growth (up to $20k) for expanded reach & impact, designed for existing programs looking to scale to the next level. 

• Rooted (up to $35k/year) for established community anchors, looking to deepen and innovate their operational efforts.
