Same-day delivery marketplace Shipt announced it has launched same-day delivery of beer, wine and spirits from Target stores in Kentucky, beginning with Bowling Green, Lexington, and Louisville metro areas. As customers stayed home during the pandemic, same-day delivery service Shipt saw a 44% increase in baskets with alcohol included. The addition of alcohol adds to the growing selection of groceries, electronics, toys and other household essentials currently available for same-day delivery via Shipt in Kentucky.

Residents across Bowling Green, Lexington, and Louisville metro areas can order alcohol products from Target in the Shipt app and on Shipt.com. Beer, wine and spirits are available, with exact offerings varying by market and local store. Customers will then schedule their delivery and an expert Shipt Shopper will bring it to their door in as soon as one hour. Customers must be at least 21 years old to order or accept alcohol deliveries, and will be required to present identification upon delivery.

Throughout the last year, more and more consumers have turned to the ease and convenience of same-day delivery. To meet this high demand and ensure reliable same-day delivery, Shipt recently added 150,000 shoppers to the platform during the holiday season.
