Grocery retailer and distributor SpartanNash, which already offers same-day delivery powered by Shipt on orders from their own website, will expand their reach by joining the Shipt marketplace ahead of the busy holiday season.
Same-day delivery service Shipt and grocery retailer and distributor SpartanNash (the “Company) (Nasdaq:SPTN) today announced an expansion of their partnership, which launches shopping and delivery on the Shipt marketplace from nearly 90 SpartanNash grocery stores in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota and Ohio. With the busy holiday season around the corner, SpartanNash is now expanding their reach to even more consumers with the integration of nine SpartanNash-owned banners on Shipt – including D&W Fresh Market, Dillonvale IGA, Family Fare, Family Fresh, Forest Hills Foods, Martin’s Super Markets, Supermercado Nuestra Familia, VG’s Grocery and Family Fresh Market throughout the Midwest.
This announcement marks the expansion of Shipt's existing partnership with SpartanNash. Since April 2021, Shipt has served as a last-mile delivery provider for the grocery retailer, delivering grocery orders placed on banners’ websites in as soon as an hour. Since launch, Shipt has successfully delivered thousands of orders to customers’ doorsteps, providing exceptional service and sparking connections throughout the Midwest.
