More than the match-up on the field it’s a battle in the kitchen as to which fan base has the best snacks. However, unlike the Big Game, this is a competition where you get to decide who the winner is. 

As the two teams prepare to face off on Sunday, we here at Shipt decided to look into how the team’s home cities stack up against each other when it comes to their snacking. We analyzed data in Los Angeles and Cincinnati leading up to last year’s Big Game to determine their food selections ahead of this year’s game. It’s safe to say they have very different tastes, although there are a few things both cities can agree on and it’s not just their love for sports.  

For starters, both cities have a real obsession for tater tots. The most sold frozen food item through Shipt in both LA and Cincinnati are Ore-Ida Tater Tots. And despite being separated by 1900 miles, people in both cities also can’t resist snacking on guacamole, Doritos and hummus.

However, the two fan bases differ a bit in their chip dip preferences. Cincinnati loves their Skyline Chili while LA prefers 7 layer bean dip. No matter who wins the Big Game we are anticipating some pretty large quantities of both these items to be consumed! 

Overall it’s safe to say LA is a bit more health-conscious in their snacking even when it’s sitting in front of the TV. There, items like SkinnyPop, Veggie Straws, Rice Puffs, and Corn Puffs are requested the most through the Shipt app while Cinci folks are snacking on the classics like Cheez-Its, Ritz and Goldfish.
